The stones are quality made and did an excellent job sharpening and honing my razor.My complaints are minor:1. They have a hard to remove sticker stuck right on the sharpening surface. Don't do what I did and just rip it off. Try softening it with a heat gun (or hair dryer) first.2. The bases are a little too tight to stack the stones. It is the perfect size for a 3" straight razor. In addition, the blade was ready to shave with after very little time spent. Some say they used chromium oxide after honing before stropping. The edge was very acceptable this way, but, the second time I touched up the razor I skipped the chromium oxide and went straight to the leather strop. The blade was far sharper going from stone to strop than from stone to paste to leather. Use very light strokes with this stone drawing the edge away from the stone as you go. In the final phase you want to draw the bur to the edge.
