The unit is is like 23 3/8" wide so you get a fairly significant gap on either side. If it was 23 3/4" that would make more sense for a 24" cabinet install. The screw holes on the front side are very close to the front edge of a 12" upper cabinet. They should have set these front holes back about an inch. The bulb it came with is an incandescent candelabra bulb. Why didn't they use a standard socket? There were no punch outs on the back side to get the wiring through into the unit. I had to drill my own hole. Most significantly is that the wire inside was too short to reach to the other side of the cabinet where my wall wiring was coming in of course. I had to make two splices inside the hood because the wall wiring was very short as well. I couldn't believe they made the wire in the unit so short. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice hood! Much better lights and fan than the other stainless hoods in this price range.Pros:Fan motor is quiet, most of the sound you hear is air.Lights are fantastic! standard 35w halogen are very bright.Nice looking upscale designCons:not much difference in the 3 fan speeds, I wish the low was lowerlights are very bright but also generate considerable heat (not really a negative because you can easily replace them with LED versions)rivets are visible on the top (the top part that is hidden isn't stainless) Not a big deal to me but could be for somerectangular vent not installed and the "punch out" vent sections are welded on way to much. Had to use a dremel to remove ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Useless manual *by O***D on Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2018* You better be pretty handy if you plan to install this hood yourself. First off, throw the manual away, its totally useless. The quantity and type of screws that come with it do not match what the manual says. They also will just fall through the mounting hole so I had to supply my own screws. The electrical knockout and exhaust opening was a bitch to remove and I had to trim the damper so it would not bind.
