It IS super bright, and the dim red light seems like kind of a gimmick, however in a very dark room, once your eyes have adjusted sufficiently, it is actually pretty good. Overall I've found this to be a good addition to my collection - if the price doesn't bother you, then you will like this little flashlight! ### ⭐ One Star *by R***. on May 22, 2018* Bushnell.?? Paint came off after one week. Felt down on the concrete. ( 2,5 ft) Broke in the half. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ small package, good value. *by M***L on May 17, 2018* Great small flashlight. It runs on a single AA battery which keeps the overall length down to hand size and the diameter of the light is around 1.1 inches which is large enough to grip but to so overly large that is bulky in a pocket. This is a no frills light. It has two modes, white light on and red light on, that's its, back to simple. The light output is very acceptable and it worked to illuminate a man sized target on a clouded pitch black night at 75 feet with no problems. Combine this with a quick detach 1" scope right and you have a very affordable picatinny weapons light. The light comes with a Duracell battery but I put in one of my rechargeable batteries and got 2 hours of run time out of it. That is acceptable for a single battery light weight light.
