Video is crisp and clear, however, the rear view mirror function itself is very dim compared to a standard mirror when you are using it simply as a mirror.The instruction manual is a joke, and there is virtually no online support. No offense to the manufacturer, but the manual print is microscopic, and also in VERY broken english, and additionally it is not well detailed.It says it comes with a battery preinstalled, but does not state what it's purpose is. I assume it is so that it does not always need to be plugged into the charging port? Regardless of it's function, mine never charged so I just shipped it back. Defective out of the box it seems. Battery never lasted more than 30 seconds.There is no "flip" option for the rear camera view, so you cannot mount it at the top of the rear of your truck or van. It seems that they have designed this camera to have to have been installed, mounted in the license plate area, upside down. They should have included a "flip camera view" option like on my Nest cameras at home.Interface is not exactly "clunky", but it's a little confusing as there is a settings icon on the main screen, and a different settings icon when you hit the home screen button, with totally different settings and options.Setting the time / clock was not easy either. The manual states the following: Press the mode select key / menu button to enter setting state, the short press OK key tented, can be in the year / month / day / time / time / sub / second to switch between each other by adjusting the need for numerical value, press OK to confirm change".It should have read like this: " To set the time, press the House Icon on the main screen. Choose Change Time and Date. Set time and date and hit save." You see, there are no pictures in the manual, so when the manufacturers decided to call the mode selection / menu key what they did, only they know what that key is lol. Geez.So anyways, I sent this thing back. Camera is awesome, even the rear camera quality is good. But overall when I get a product that does not work correctly right out of the box, that's a bad sign. So I don't know that I would recommend this camera. Sorry.P.S. if you have a standard length Chevrolet Express 2500 can, the rear camera cable is about 2 feet too short for allowing the rear door to open and close if you mount it in the license plate area. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This really good help me *by C***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2019* I ordered this HD backup camera mirror dash cam because with a full size 10 ft bed I recently purchased that did not come with a factory installed camera. The shipping was spot on as with most prime shipments. First impressions was the product was packaged very well. The box it came in and how it was packaged made this camera feel like a much more expensive product. everything was in the box as described above in the product description. Installation was easy, and product worked as described, but I did run into one issue with the installation.Upon running the cable down the pillar and out the truck, I found out the cable was about 6ft too short. I looked to see if there was another way to run the cable to make it work, and there was yes.This is a great aid in parking, since, without it, I always tend to err on the side of caution while backing up and thus deprive myself of maneuvering room. Anyways I’m really like it. Good stuff ### ⭐⭐⭐ Confusing but okay Camera *by T***A on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2019* This is the second one i ordered because the first one i got wasn't working and i sent it back.
