It was very difficult and I could not get it to go through the material. **Q: Would this cut through masking tape?** A: I very much doubt it. The cutters are only designed to go through soft clay. I have never tried it. Some of the cutters are really tiny, even if they did I would imagine they would only tear the tape. You wouldn't get the shape of the cutter. Hope I've been of help. **Q: For those who bought B: is the largest cutter actually 10cms? Kind of hard to believe from the photos. 4 inches is huge!** A: There isn't a cutter that big. What is going on here. The cutters I've bought are used for dolls house items. But one thing would make it better, and that would be something in the set that is the right size to push the clay out of the smallest cutter, which as extremely small. A tailors pin would probably do it?. Perhaps it could be included? I have used the cutters once with a very good result. I used them to cut out 2 equal sized circles, which I then rolled up to use as eyes and they came out perfectly equal in size. The cutters cut cleanly and although they have a sharp edge, it's not sharp enough to cut your hand on.
