The tray itself pivots away from one side meaning I can put our little granddaughter in front ways without having to lift her over the top of the tray (much easier now she is getting bigger). The harness is easy to adjust and clip together. The tray comes with a clip on cover which you can remove for easy cleaning and is also dishwasher safe. The seat is very well padded, so comfortable for little ones and it is wipeable for all those learning to eat accidents! You may look at the Foodoo. It has a full recline and is height adjustable. **Q: Is there a cover I can buy to catch food and mess that is washable? The cover is so hard to take off often, like a shopping cart one that will fit.** A: I feel your pain. My baby is messy and so find myself continuously cleaning the chair. The cover is not easy to remove. I do love the leather material that is water proof and cleans easy without staining. I personally haven’t found a cover for the chair. I in the kids section from IKEA a large changing pad that looks like a towel. It is not a towel material, is more like a thin changing mat that you can hang and looks like a towel. It doesn’t absorbe the liquids so is perfect because it keeps the chair from getting dirty. It works for me. This only works for the bottom where there baby sits not the back. **Q: Is the padding comfortable?** A: The padding is comfortable. **Q: What is the top age range for this chair? How much use did you get out of it?** A: Started using it about age 6 months. It has upper straps so could probly use it at younger ages. Plenty of room for growing. It's a really nice high chair. Easy to fold up for storage or to take with you.
