Great for walking in wild weather. Decent sized hood that stays in place even when not fully zipped up.Bottom opening zip is handy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Spot on weatherproof jacket *by J***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 November 2019* This is a really good jacket and has already become indispensable wear.The first one came with a faulty zip but replacement was quickly organised.Am a size 10/12 and purchased Medium on reading the reviews. It is an excellent fit, just right for me but if you are 12/14 would definitely be too small. Cannot understand comments on sleeve length as I have fairly long arms and the sleeves are plenty long enough; the storm cuffs are great and come to base of thumb so wouldn't want any longer. Some people refer to a faux fur strip on hood which can be unzipped ? No fur (thank goodness) and no zip on mine !Also would comment that the shape is exactly as portrayed, waist fits well (and has a drawstring to tighten) and the jacket is a well fitting and good length.Very warm without being over bulky and have tested in fairly heavy downpour and was completely waterproof..Texture of jacket is not slippery and has a matt, 'weave' type finish which makes it pleasant to wear (unlike some waterproofs) and also reasonably smart for town and country use.I walk miles in all weathers and am delighted with this jacket - exactly the replacement for an old faithful.It is rather long and well fitting for cycling but there is a reverse zip function which should mean ok if you want to horse ride.Only niggle is hood which is quite big , tends to blow back and rather obscures your vision. This is a minor point and a common problem with hoods I find (my Barbour is the same) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars A very warm and good quality coat *by K***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 December 2023* Without doubt this is an excellent quality coat. I ordered a size up as many advised but it was too big. Also, it's too thick and warm for my needs. I'm 5'7" and it reached to about 4 ins above my knees which was really good.The hood is designed for an alien with a large egg shaped head as another reviewer said! I couldn't see out! Unfortunately I had to return it.
