However, I may rethink that. Lol. Packaging - This set came in a medium sized box, cushioned with layers of cardboard and bubble wrap on the inside outer layer of the box. The box wasn't as heavy as I expected. However, each piece was meticulously individually protected with card board and bubble wrap. There would really have to be some SERIOUS rough-housing going on to receive these broken. (Rough-housing as in THROWING the box around). The Dinnerware - When I took the pieces out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes: They are BEAUTIFUL. Although they are square in shape, the edges are slightly rounded, instead of pointed/sharp, which would make them more vulnerable to chipping. When you hold one of the pieces, you know you have a quality piece in your hand: They have a heavy appearance, and they are, but they aren't SO HEAVY that they are a nuisance to pick up, hold, carry, or use. They aren't too big, nor too small. Their bottom middle surfaces aren't flat (with the exception of the bowls). They do have a VERY SLIGHT concave, but nothing to really take into consideration. Just thought I'd mention it pertaining to the design. I really like the unusual crafty design; even the bowls are square. My other glass dinnerware set was round, as most are. This set feels more solid. It has a very eloquent feel and look. Use - I won't hesitate to use this dinnerware for special occasions. I have tested them out in the microwave, the dishwasher, and stored food on them in the refrigerator, and they work and look like a charm. I must say, Mainstay has done it again. Review: My favorite set ever - They are really easy to clean, they look good. And, I totally prefer a square shape. NO WORRY of toxic glazes or paints they are just clear glass. I see other reviews complaining they broke. So, I would recommend not putting hot food on them or using them to heat up food on, or storing them in a freezer. Remember, also maybe when washing or just setting on your cupboard. Glass tends to be cold if the room is and if you take it from hot to cold or the other way around it can cause it to break. Which is dangerous. Also I noticed they are very slippery if you've got them soaped up for washing. Maybe also be careful of other dishes in the sink when washing so you don't hit them together. Just my experience with glass items, rinse after use or soak before washing so you aren't scrubbing so hard you risk hitting into something risking breaking. Otherwise, i've bonked them a couple times on my sink side and was worried, but no chips or cracks. They are thick glass so sturdy enough. They are a bit heavier also. Also because they are clear dont leave them laying around where you might not be able to see them.. Take care of them, they may just be the best set you'll ever own! They are my ultimate, favorite set of all time! ## Features - Square Glass Dinnerware Set: Make your dining space look good with this glass dishes dinnerware set – this 12-piece, 37 oz. glass dishware set includes 4 square dinner plates, 4 salad plates, and 4 square side bowls - Glass Dinner Collection: Set the table to perfection with our clear glass dinnerware set; this full glass dinnerware set can serve as a base for your collection and also complement your current set perfectly - Sturdy and Stackable: Designed to be thick and sturdy, our glass plates do not break easily; the stackable dish sets, salad plates, and bowls help save your cupboard space - Dishwasher Safe: This glass dishes set is not microwave safe, however it is dishwasher safe - place the clear dinnerware set in the dishwasher for a quick and easy wash - Perfect Gift Choice: A thoughtful present for housewarmings, weddings, anniversaries, or holiday gatherings, this sleek square plate set adds timeless elegance to any home ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00E6WNZXC | | Best Sellers Rank | #24,447 in Kitchen & Dining ( See Top 100 in Kitchen & Dining ) #88 in Dinnerware Sets | | Brand | Libbey | | Brand Name | Libbey | | Collection Name | Tempo | | Color | Square | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 2,816 Reviews | | Finish Types | Non Stick | | Included Components | Libbey Tempo 12-Piece Glass Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 | | Item Type Name | Libbey Tempo 12-Piece Glass Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 | | Item Weight | 1.4 pounds | | Manufacturer | Libbey | | Manufacturer Part Number | 55619 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | No Warranty | | Material | Glass | | Material Type | Glass | | Material Type Free | Lead Free | | Model Number | 55619 | | Number of Items | 12 | | Number of Pieces | 12 | | Occasion | Casual | | Pattern | Tempo | | Product Care Instructions | Dishwasher Safe | | Set Name | Tempo 12-Piece Glass Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 | | Shape | Square | | UPC | 031009683888 | | Unit Count | 12 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Libbey - **Collection Name:** Tempo - **Color:** Square - **Material:** Glass - **Pattern:** Tempo ## Images ![Tempo 12 Piece Glass Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81zqFt4gwrL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: I read bad reviews on this set from another seller.
