They clean and disinfect and keep my guard white. The Efferdent plus mint seems be intended for a short (5 minute) soak, but the package says that dentures can be left in overnight. My experience with that product was that leaving it overnight did no harm, but it didn't do much more good either. There is a product, Efferdent Overnight, that is intended to soak overnight, and it does a much better job of cleaning stuff off.
