The contacts within 2 of the 1st pots I soldiered didn't make good contact and would short out when rotated. If you lightly pushed on the shaft you could get it to make contact, but unusable and unreliable. A 3rd one crushed on me when I attempted to test with slightly more pressure. The fourth one I soldered in seems to work, but I don't trust it and will probably replace when I purchase some better quality ones.
