I want to express how incredibly impressed I am with this product and hope to encourage others to ditch the gym and look at working out as a part of a lifestyle. This product fits the bill very nicely.Absolutely fantastic. I’ve been lifting and visiting the gym since I was a teen. Over 20 years later, I still exercise regularly. I’ve gotten tired of heading to the gym, fighting for equipment, and not always seeing results. With COVID, the gym has been shut down. I wanted an inexpensive solution that was easy to use, worked my body efficiently, and a space saver.This product fully delivers. After only a few days, I can confidently say I am overwhelmed with this product.The advantages of this product are numerous:1. Lightweight2. Easy to use3. Extremely adjustable4. Affordable5. Provide a great workout6. Extremely versatileThe associated workout TA2 plan shows how to use the bands properly. Before I bought these bands, I though getting a single band with grips would be easier to use. The instructor for the classes explains that having a circular band give a lot more ability to define the exact amount of resistance required, whereas handles and a single portion of a band actually reduces the flexibility of the device to meet the resistance needs. Additionally, he discusses how using traditional weights allows people to “cheat” by using momentum to drive movements which makes things easier at the top of the movement. With bands, the resistance is greatest when the band is stretched making things HARDER when you reach the maximum exertion. In short, it really helps the “pump” in the workout.I’m still working my way through the beginner exercises in the program. I wish there were a few more ab and lower body exercises tossed into the regular mix, but they are there.It’s also important to not that the edges of the bands are a little tough. The trainer in the videos uses gloves and I recently purchased a pair and plan on using them.I’m also excited to begin to break out and add some of these exercises to a more robust plan - for instance, jogging or biking to a park and then breaking out the bands to do an exercise routine, then hopping right back into more cardio.One other thing to mention is that the bands allow you to work out anywhere and the associated videos have workouts that are about 30 minutes long. They are life changing. You can have no extra space to workout in and still get a complete workout in--in 15 minutes. You can absolutely get your heartrate up and get a legit pump. While also developing functional strength.Seriously, the mental benefits alone from being able to keep working out make these bands worth the price of admission.In fact, I like it more than using machines or free weights. Free weights, seems like you have a greater potential for injury, and you're limited by the numbers on the weights. And you need space / gym membership / bound by gym hours / wasted travel time....Machines do too much of the work for you, robbing you of functional strength, building your core/stabilization muscles.Whereas these bands are extremely portable and high quality. And they teach you to improve your form over time. I can honestly say using these bands has made me healthier and happier.Undersun Fitness & James Grage's youtube channel has some workouts I use.My current faves:"Build a BIG CHEST with Resistance Bands Only!" ,"Awesome Resistance Bands Core Exercise: Woodchoppers" ,"Awesome At-Home Back Workout Using Resistance Bands" ,"Training Abs With Resistance Bands"These aren't paper-thin Physical Therapy generic fitness brands, you can do legit strength training w these.You can loop the band thru itself or use the included door anchor to mount the band to doors, poles, stand on the band yourself,--there's plenty of techniques.(I personally prefer the simpler, old school door anchor, that's just a foam cylinder with a loop on the other end of the strap, you can get these for under $10, but the included door anchor works fine, just I don't use the rest of the straps)What's great about these bands, you control how much of a pump you're gonna get. If you want more resistance you grab earlier in the band, if you're gassing out, you can let go of some of the band.You get eccentric resistance. The band provides continuous resistance going forward and back, so you're getting more out of each rep.There's various thicknesses included. I'm a fan of the Heavy and Medium bands, but you get the whole set here, so pretty much everyone is covered.I throw the Heavy and Medium bands in a drawstring gym bag with some headphones and workout gloves, and hang them wherever.I'd recommend getting the undersun gloves as well, since the one downside w the bands is it can be rough on your hands without gloves. You can use full-fingered work gloves if you want.My current workout,First, I'll mount the door mount below hip height and do preacher curls facing the door.Then I'll face away from the door and work my chest by pushing the band up and forward above my head.Then I'll stand parallel to the band, facing my upper body towards the door and rotate until my upper body is perpendicular to the door, --these "woodchoppers" really strengthen your core.Then I'll mount the door anchor above my head and place my hands over my head, round my back, and do crunches using the bands overhead to create resistance.If I only have 15 minutes, I'll do a set of 20-30 reps. If I have 45 minutes, I'll do 2 or 3 sets of 20 reps.Truthfully, if you choose to go slowly and keep yourself in tension, you don't really need to do more than 1 or 2 sets....I'll sometimes do longer sets just to get out of my head for a bit, lol, like a meditation. But you don't need to do more than 2 sets, and there's probs less benefits if you overtrain.I noticed functional gains in strength in a couple of days, coming off a severe injury.But, use common sense. Always listen to your body, and give yourself time to recover and get stronger....Longer term, you can legit sculpt yourself.I never came anywhere close to the level of functional strength going to physical therapy and using the paper-thin bands, or using machines.These bands force you to use your whole core/stabilization muscles which directly translates to a more functional body.The Undersun Fitness / James Grage youtube channel will thoroughly explain everything. A lot of the videos are under 5 minutes long.You can use the app too, I couldn't figure it out and, amazingly, when I emailed support, they figured it out for me in one business day.I still prefer youtube, just because it's easier to jump from my music playlists to my workout playlists, etc.Anyway, I've become an evangelist for these bands. The proof is in the results and how you feel. Starting with their TA2 Bodyshock program has been perfect for me to achieve this, and I’m glad to see they offer other programs to continue my workouts, if I’d like to try something new. My husband already bought himself a set and is enjoying their “Build” program. He is pretty happy with how it’s been giving him a workout, but is easy on the joints! The bands seem really durable, and I enjoy how versatile they can be during a workout. My husband has put his through quite some tests and is happy to see them put up with all the stretching without issues, so far.
