I understood that these are essentially Gibson tuners, though. And was prepared for a bit of drilling. Once the holes were bored, the tuners took minutes to drop into place and restring. Since the replacement strings stay in tune no matter how much I beat that trem. I highly recommend these tuners. Been playing with them for about a month. Steinberger recommends pulling in on the trem a bit when the stringing the high E to remove extra slinkiness. It as an extra 5 seconds to changing that string. If you're looking at them then you probably already know what they are, how great they are, and why you need them on your firebird. For the record they fit my 2022 Gibson USA Firebird that came from the factory with banjo tuners. I swapped out the already awesome banjo tuners for these and DO NOT regret it at all. Worth the money. I had never used them, only seen them, but can now say I love them and think more guitar brands and models should go this route. So easy to load strings and the tuning ratio is just right.
