I used it while snorkeling in Hawaii and it worked great. Here are my insights regarding the sizing issue - 1. These do run extremely small; you should order two sizes larger than you are and 2. the manufacturing process is inconsistent (ie poor quality control), so that two shirts of the same listed size (s, m, l, etc.) may be significantly different in actual fit.I am 5’10 and 155 lbs, and am a solid β€œmedium” in shirts. I am an active snorkeler and have worn rash guards for years, so I know when it’s a tight fit because rash guards are meant to be a tight fit as opposed to when it’s just too small. I ordered a long sleeve and short sleeve versions of the rash guard in medium size and they were so small, I literally could not pull it over my shoulders. So I returned those and bought the same rash guards in a large size. Those were similarly too small and I had to return both shirts. I finally ordered extra large versions of those shirts, and when I received them, the short sleeve version was an appropriate tight fit (as rash guards are meant to be) but the long sleeve version in the same size was actually too big.
