Some reviews said the fan was too loud for their child, but we have found it to be quiet. I am not sure what else is out there that is much more quiet, but our kids are just fine with the noise, or lack there of. Very safe for kids, because there is not blade to get there fingers caught in. This little thing won't cool down a big living room or something, but a standard 12ft by 12ft room would be just fine. ### ⭐ Burned-out after 2 years/Blew a fuse *by S***N on April 7, 2018* We use our fan a lot in our twin's bedroom and all has been fine until tonight when it unexpectedly turned off and we suddenly smelled a burning plastic-like smell. It was coming from the fan and it actually blew a fuse. It no longer works and it is completely dead. It will not turn on even when plugged into another outlet. We purchased the fan for almost $60 and it lasted just two years.
