This book was nowhere near a five star book. I think people get confused with a positive and interesting plot idea with original and captivating writing. I honestly don't undsrstand the high ratings of any of this author's books. Are they ok to pass the time? Sure. But do yourself a favor and read any books from Jewel E Ann, Kate Stewart, BB Easton, Penny Reid, Christina Lauren, Tarryn Fisher, and of course Colleen Hoover is you want a GENUINE five star read. Sorry for such a negative review but it's really getting to me as to how much money I have wasted on books that were given five star reviews by either friends of the authors or people with monetary motivation to give inflated reviews. So sorry, but had to say it. I am in love with this story. The perfect summer beach read. And one of my all time favorites of Vi Keeland’s novels by far.I think I just fell in love with Ford in Montauk.Vi Keeland has just renewed my faith in finding love with the “right person at the wrong time”. Bc there is never a wrong time for the right person. Did I say that right? Never mind. Doesn’t matter bc I’m on a high from finishing!This story was perfectly paced. From the moment Ford and Valentina first connected, I was engrossed in their story and how Vi would choose to spin there love story.Of course she always throws in some twists and turns and Throws you for a loop. So many feels....so many!!!But like all of her utterly gorgeous Heros, follows one amazingly beautiful and smart heroine. Val was just what Ford needed. He didn’t even know it! Hell, she didn’t. But together they were a “perfect match”! No pun intended. Haha.I am Obsessed with Valentina. I didn’t want this book to end. Ever. And the epilogue!! Gah. She’s the world’s best cover-picker. I mean come on, who puts that human smokeshow, Christian Hogue’s back on the cover? When I saw it, I thought to myself, “Is there licking? There better be licking.”—Only she can get away with C.nn.l.ng.s King on her book cover. That blurb is filthy, and it’s a small taste of the exciting story inside.If I had one note, a post-it, it would be to give me a break. It's almost impossible to choose between Ford Donovan and Bennett Fox.
