Review: Extremely helpful after foot surgery! - I have been using this leg rest for just over 4 weeks now, after having bunion surgery on one of my feet. I would say for the first two weeks, I used it day and night, for the most part. At this point, I still use it at times during the day when my foot swells... and am still using it at night. Surgery is unpleasant enough, without having to fight with a 'pillow pile' day and night, for weeks on end. I am a 5'6" female and while in bed, use this the way it is shown in the photo and the fit seems just fine. Now that I'm up and around more, I use it sideways on my recliner (leg rest on top of the foot portion of the recliner), and outside on the deck (leg rest on top of an ottoman). A couple of other things... As has been mentioned (I think), if you are using this at night while sleeping, it will be difficult to use under the covers.... if you have had surgery (or an injury), it is impossible, as the covers will pull down on your foot. I knew this would be an issue, and have just been sleeping on top of my quilt, with a light-weight blanket that I can arrange so my foot is sticking out. Some have asked about side sleeping with this leg rest. During the first two weeks after my foot surgery, I would say no way... LOL I was too nervous about the position of my foot (even sleeping with my surgical shoe on) and didn't want to cause myself any more pain. I am definitely a side sleeper though, and once I got past the 2 week mark, I started trying to sleep on my side some (still with the surgical shoe on for protection, just in case). I am able to sleep this way, but it might be awkward for some. In the last week, I haven't even had my shoe on.... but have been sleeping on one side or the other every night. Basically, my knees are bent with the calf/shin area resting on the slanted part. It sounds awkward... and probably isn't as good as elevating as the position in the photo, but I'm at a point post-op that I don't really have to elevate all night anyway... I'm only still doing it because I think it helps. I don't think everyone would be comfortable trying to sleep this way though, so I would not plan on side sleeping with this(; It seems many people use this for their backs. My mom has some back problems, and once I am finished using the leg rest, I was going to give it to her to try. Will update if I can on that. Last, the cover. I was trying to be really prepared, and bought an extra cover (the blue one). Ended up just putting the blue cover OVER the white one that came on the leg rest, but then I put a towel over the whole thing anyway... LOL There are a few fuzzies on one section of the blue cover that isn't covered with the towel, so I think it does pill fairly easily. If you don't want to spend the money for an extra cover (they aren't cheap), but are worried about ruining the cover it comes with, just put a towel over it...easy enough. Other products I recommend for those who have had bunion surgery (or any foot surgery): A shower chair... they are reasonably priced here on desertcart. I suggest one that has height adjustment. The one I got was called Shower Seat, and I will review it when I have a chance. I didn't want to need it, but oh my.... I was so glad I had it, especially those first few showers when I couldn't stand longer than a minute, tops. I am still using it to sit on when I am shaving my legs(; http://www.desertcart.com/gp/product/B00GD0N9AO/ref=oh_details_o03_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also a cast and bandage protector... I got the Brownmed SEAL TIGHT, in the 'adult short leg wide'... and it was perfect. The 'wide' isn't for leg size, but for the size of whatever boot/cast the ring on the protector has to go over. Since mine had to go over a surgical shoe, the wide worked perfectly without having to squish my foot to get it on. I will review this when I can as well. http://www.desertcart.com/gp/product/B001G0N6E0/ref=oh_details_o09_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Last, if you have access to an ice machine, take advantage of it! I didn't even know what the darn thing was, but my doctor ordered it, and a home health company dropped it off on the day I had surgery. It basically allows you to ice at the exact interval your doctor recommends... continuously, without any ice at all (mine was set for 30 minutes on/30 off). The machine has a hose that hooks up to a wrap. The wrap is secured around the foot, and in an icing cycle, it sends a cold mix of water through the hose and into the wrap. It also has a compression feature (with tubes that connect to compression wraps) for calf compressions after surgery. I only used the compression feature for the first week or so, but I was using the 'ice' right up until they came and took it off of my foot the other day (I had it for 4 weeks). I shall miss it very much! (; Sorry for being so lengthy, but hope it helps someone!
Review: Well-made and effective product - I'm about 270 pounds and I have problems with leg and foot swelling and degenerative foot and knee pain. I've slept with my legs up on this pillow every night since I bought it about 2 years ago, and I also use it for daily leg elevation while in a chair (I put it on top of an another office chair that I use as a leg rest). I'm writing this review now because I'm finally going to buy another one. I typically sleep on my side with my knees at the base of the pillow and my feet on top. Over 2 years of heavy use, this thing has squished down to about 3 quarters of its original height. Even now it typically regains some of its form if I leave it alone for a while. Pros - -Apparently this thing is about $20 cheaper now than it was when I bought one originally. -Very lightweight for its size -Very firm and strong enough to support heavy legs, but still soft enough to be quite comfortable. -Case can be removed and washed -Just wide enough to comfortably hold both of my legs (I have about a 38-40 inch waist) without having to press my legs tightly together Cons - - If you are a heavy person and put both legs up on this thing often while lying on your back, you can run into some lower back pains if you do not have a firm supportive bed. - Takes a few days to break in and is a little uncomfortable at first. - The angled base edge of the pillow tends to fall apart after a while. It's understandable considering that it's such a thin fine edge. Only a little bit of it will crumble off, and it doesn't affect the pillow's use. - Can take a little time to regain form after heavy use. - Case is very thin. It has held together well during 2 years of heavy use, but seems to be more susceptible to damage in the washer.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good packaging and delivery on time
*by M***R on January 12, 2017*

Good packaging and delivery on time. Matches advertising. I waited to give feedback until I'd used it for a period of time. Pros: Sturdy - keeps its shape after months of use (did not develop curves or divots where legs would lie) Shape feels comfortable (in one position) but likely due to my height/weight. For interest, the position was the squared end closest to me, and the sloping end facing away from me. This was not my expected comfort zone! Cons: The cover feels flimsy, very cheap. I used a towel over it due to odd size - couldn't fit it into a pillowcase. There is a cover advertised for it, but reviews of it indicated also cheap/flimsy feeling. Legs falling off at night. This again may just be this user, but once I'm out for the night, there is not much movement. Waking up to discover one of my legs had fallen off was surprising. This was not an every night occurrence, so not too worried. If you're a physical sleeper, ie. lots of movement, you may have more issues getting the support out of this purchase. Ease in use - another small pet peeve, one I expected with arranging legs under cover with this, but still, it was annoying. How could it be improved? I think if it had been a longer size, with a slightly less steep of an incline, it would have helped. Again, a small pet peeve. If you're a user that will be up and down several times a night, this will be noticeable I believe. Would I buy it again, once I need to replace it? Most likely. I gave it 4 stars because it worked as advertised, and met my needs. The cons are the slight imperfections that kept it from a 5 star. I would seek to find the improvements I hoped would work to make it better of course, but without too much extra cost. This did what I needed -- helped me with an achy back, and sore/tired legs, and a throbbing knee by giving me support at night. Much better job than stacking pillows together and getting my spouse to help me adjust them and pull the blanket over the unweildy fix.
