Rocky **Q: is this a two piece contruction or a one piece housing?** A: This is a 2 piece construction and it comes with a wide mouth piece or you make it a small mouth with out the extra wide mouth piece. It comes with both size gaskets. I would however recommend finding stainless steel screws. And prescrewing all the holes before installation to make it easier once it's in the pool. Also install the adapater before you cut a hole in your pool of its the intex type pool. Then just cut it out once it is installed **Q: can you give measurements on skimmer size so I can measure to see if it will fix my intex 15 foot pool** A: This skimmer should fit any standard opening. I can not get to the inside flange because my pool is closed but from the outside the external flange is 7.0" X 7.5" (high x wide). The internal opening is roughly 5 1/2" x 6" **Q: Dose it come with skimmer basket and vacuum seat** A: Hi yes the basket and housing is an integral part of the body. I don't know ehat the vacuum seat is exactly but the bottom of the housing reduces to s threaded pipe adapter. But you need a strong filter for it. So, if you plan on getting it, upgrade to a better filter if you are using one of those flow clear or something. At least 2,000 would be my guess. I hooked it to 2,500. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Upgrade for Intex Pool *by J***S on May 19, 2025* I bought this skimmer kit for my Intex 18ftx9ftx52in Ultra XTR Pool Kit. I did not like how this pool had two under water inlets for the filter pump and no surface skimmer intake. I was having to net out a lot of surface debris like bugs and leaves that the under water inlets would not pull in. So I eliminated one of the under water inlets and plumbed that line to this skimmer and there has been a huge improvement. The basket was full of water beetles and leaves/debris within the first couple hours of running. Fairly easy to install, just take your time and double check everything before cutting a fairly large rectangular hole in your pool liner! There are some good youtube installation videos out there that are a big help if you watch first. I am also impressed with the overall quality/build of this kit.
