I have Hybrid lenses which are larger than regular contacts.** A: I have used it as a wetting soluyion forbyears with soft lenses. Only product that doesnt sting my eyes. Even "drugstore" generic saline solution stings my eyes. **Q: Is this 1 bottle that is 12 ounces or 3 bottles of 4 ounces each? Ad does not specify.** A: FYI: For medical items you can go over the 3 oz limit, contact lens solutions qualify. I routinely bring 12 oz bottle of contact lens saline solution on flights, they get checked with some air test by TSA. Never had a problem with saline being confiscated. I did however have a 12oz bottle of my contact lens hydrogen peroxide disinfectant solution (ClearCare) get confiscated after that test because it didn't pass that air test. **Q: What is the expiration date?** A: Sellers will have different expiration dates on hand. Our inventory consists of dates between 08/2016 and 12/2016. 12/2016 was the best and last date produced before being discontinued. **Q: The price listed the Unisol 4 does not appear to be correct for 3 bottle.** A: Buy the pink vials instead ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Alcon discontinued the best saline solution on the market. *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2016* Pretty much the best Saline solution for contact users on the market.Perhaps the best saline solution to ever come to market.Perfect bottle size, easy to handle, including using for rewetting (I personally do this instead of using rewetting solutions; haven't researched to know what's proper). Didn't irritate my eyes whatsoever.The manufacturer (Alcon) ceased production of it in late 2015.I have not been able to find a replacement like it. I've been forced to use Bosch & Lomb's "sensitive eyes" saline solution, which contains far more ingredients than Unisol, and is in a bigger and more awkward to use container. It is objectively worse in every way (and is potentially causing some "clouding" when wearing my contacts).We've written a petition to Alcon to produce the product again, but as of yet it's been unsuccessful.I don't know why they discontinued it, but it was a huge mistake. I wish I knew about it before my S&S subscription was canceled (just before delivery too, when I really needed it); I would've bought dozens. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Unisol 4 is the best; However.... *by M***H on Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2008* Unisol 4 is what I MUST use! It is the BEST product for my Scleral Lenses. These lens, if you are not familiar with them, are much larger than the normal contact lens in that they cover the entire eye. They are for people who have damaged corneas & severe dry eye syndrome. I use the Unisol 4 in several steps of cleansing my lenses and then filling them twice a day before inserting them into my eyes! The Unisol 4 is used as my tears since I do not make my own. My only plea to the Alcon company is that they make Unisol 4 available in 3oz containers so when we have to fly it won't be taken from us. Those of us who wear Scleral Lenses must keep Unisol 4 with us incase a flight is delayed, cancelled, is a very long flight or whatever cirmstances arise that we would have to take the lens out and then reinsert them. We MUST have the Unisol 4 at that time and it MUST be sterile. If the original container has been opened then the Unisol 4 MUST be kept refrigerated or on ice. I hope Alcon will do this for those who must fly. It is a GREAT product! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Take Note of the Unscrewed Caps *by T***4 on Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2009* This is a great product and a great deal. The size is perfect considering the 30 day shelf life once opened and the fact that the bottles are apparently TSA approved (although a bit bigger than the 3oz in 3-1-1).The only thing I would caution people on is that the way to open the bottles (start the 30 day clock) is to screw the bottle tops all the way down so the spike in the bottle top pierces the plastic bottle. When I first took out one of the bottles I noticed that the cap wasn't screwed on all the way. Before reading the directions I screwed it all the way closed - in effect unsealing the solution. I caught on pretty quickly, but I thought I would just warn others who don't read everything on the box before opening (like me).
