The heat doesn't last more than about 20 minutes, max, so I just popped it back into microwave again. Then, just this month, my Mom needed cold on her swollen shoulder area, so I was able to give her one of these, thanks to desertcart for carrying them at least $3 cheaper. This time it was into the freezer. Again, it doesn't hold extreme temperature varients for long, but long enough to get the relief needed for a short time, an escape from the discomfort and pain.
