We have an old doberman that has severe incontinence issues. Surgery won't improve her condition, hormone therapy didn't work, so this is the best solution so far. We got a hammock style doggy bed for her and put one of these underneath it in the tray that came with her crate, a scoop of kitty litter spread out on top of the pad and she is all set until we get home from work. The mesh material in the bed lets the urine go right down into the tray while keeping her dry, the pads are big enough to fit the large space and really absorbent. The kitty litter helps with any odor and also to absorb any extra urine if she is having a particularly bad day (nobody said getting old was pretty). Cleanup is super easy too. I just fold up the ends, keeping the litter and mess in the center and get rid of it.
