## Description

Silk Swabs are premium swabs made from 100% silk for removing moisture from woodwind instruments after each use. Hodge uses silk because it is absorbent, lint free and compressible. They do not leave lint in the keys. They are not stored inside the instrument so the moisture does not remain. Hodge swabs are regularly recommended by repairmen for optimum care of your instrument. The silk flute swabs are great for any level of flutist. They are soft enough for polishing the instrument and absorbent enough to soak up the water when swabbing the inside of the instrument. Simply thread through the end of any cleaning rod.

Review: SO GOOD - I BOUGHT TWO! - This silk cloth works so well, I came back after getting my first one (for my performance flute) to buy a second one for use with my practice flute. It works so much better than the felt-cloth swab I was previously using. I can look down the barrel of the flute to compare moisture streaks left behind with the felt swab versus no streaks left by the silk. The silk is super absorbent and feels moist aftwards from all moisture it picked up - no moisture left behind = longer pad life and longer flute life! This the silk swab may feel wet after swabbing, but it dries amazingly fast. I love both my swabs!
Review: Nice swab - This swab fit easily into the flute and did its expected job there well. I have since sold the flute. I kept the swab and washed it to use as a zipper pouch lining. It is a beautiful shade of purple.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice swab

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Swab
*by D***Y on October 8, 2026*

Really great as a flute swab. I have several. Very effective for removing moisture in headjoint and tube body. They dry quickly and last a good while. Just be slow when inserting the swab into headjoint or body. Going too fast will tend to age the selving (stitching around the edge which ultimately frays the silk.
