I want to update this question for future buyers, since this answer turned out to be very wrong. Do not buy this mount if you want to mount a camera. Yes in theory you can screw a DSLR on instead of the phone clamp......... but you "mount" the center arm into the ring by just sliding a plastic tab into a tiny slot. If you tilt the ring back at all, the center arm will slide out and crash to the ground. Its already fallen out 2x with just a light small phone clamped in -- with a heavy DSLR it will slide out easily. I'm probably going to superglue it in place and even then I'm a bit leery of trusting my camera equipment to it. This is really only suitable for phone users only. If you want to use a camera, shop for a different light. **Q: Does it come with a tripod stand now? I keep seeing that it doesn’t but the description says that it does.** A: yes, it comes with a tripod stand. the ring light can be mount a phone, a dslr etc, **Q: How can I get the part that screws into the light to stay in?
