It is very thin; not see-through thin, but thinner than I was expecting. If you’re expecting a more quilty, lightweight blanket feel, maybe something that would come with tassels on the end—this isn’t it. HOWEVER, that’s not a bad thing, and honestly the lightweightedness makes it easier to hang up.It is very big (I ordered a X-large) and it was the perfect thing to fill up dead space on my wall to instantly transform my room. I used fabric wrapped foam insulation behind mine, as I was using them as a window cover in my home studio, so this help to block the sun.
