He absolutely adored this ball! He's ten and has always really been into puzzles. He loves doing things with his hands and is great with critical thinking, so this really is the perfect toy for him. He is the type of kid that will sit with something for hours while he perfects it, so this has provided him many many hours of brain-powered stimulation. Having Asperger's he does tend to get very frustrated with certain things sometimes, and I do see him go towards that tendency with this at times, but I think the challenge takes over and it remains fun enough for him to keep at it. I think this is a wonderful toy for any kid, aspergers/autism or not. It is a wonderful tool for developing hand-eye coordination along with logic and problem solving. There is a lot of cause and effect happening in this ball with every twist and turn! Oh, and best of all. its really fun! I kinda want one for myself...
