These nail stickers are phenomenal!! I wish I had tried them instead of nail glue! These stickers are thin, very sticky and quite easy to apply, though a pair of tweezers are helpful in their application. I get the best adhesion when I slightly buff my natural nail plate and dehydrate it with pure acetone or alcohol. I select a size that is slightly smaller than the natural nail plate (the edges of the sticker should not come in contact with skin.) The tab on the cover plastic should be positioned at the cuticle edge, not the free edge. I like to tuck the edge of the fake nail under my cuticle for a more natural look. I used to position the nail sticker about 1-2 mm away from the nail fold, but now I position it closer, to prevent any gaps where moisture could collect. Once I have pressed the sticker down well, I remove the cover plastic -- that's where the tweezers come in -- and position the fake nail at a 45-degree angle to the natural nail, tucking the edge of the fake nail under the nail fold/cuticle. Then I bring the nail down onto the nail sticker, pressing firmly. That's it. That nail isn't going anywhere. The first couple of days these nails feel stuck on as firmly as if I had used nail glue; then I notice a subtle change and they will become a little more mobile. They last at least five days for me. After that period of time, I can push my fake nails forward, away from my cuticle and they will slide off, with the sticky adhesive underneath. The sticker peels off fairly cleanly; I have even been able to use the fake nails again. (Note: a re-used fake nail should be carefully cleaned before being re-applied, and of course you should always thoroughly clean and prep your nails before applying fake nails.) Of course, if you don't want to wait 5 days to take them off, you can remove them by pushing them forward (it's a little bit of a struggle, but they will peel off cleanly). Or you can soak your fake nails in acetone; the adhesive peels off quite easily from your nail plate. I have discovered that it's much easier and cleaner if I paint and decorate the fake nails before applying them onto my natural nails. (I use popsicle sticks with poster putty to adhere the fake nail; then paint.) With pre-painted nails, I don't have to clean up the edges of manicure with a nail brush and acetone to remove traces of polish when I apply them. I have no complaints with these stickers, only praise.
