The first part of the book covered the usual introductory phrases and words, but in areas that I found irrelevant or not applicable, such as naming the different members of the family, or expressions that one would only use in a proper conversation. The part dealing with the months of the year, days of the week, and numbers was straightforward. But then, when the book got to actual grammar, the organization and rules presented were very tough to make sense of - it seems that one already had to have some knowledge of Turkish to understand the technical grammar points. I eventually pivoted to other sources of Turkish language study online out of frustration. The book contains a fair number of typos, as well - a bit amateurish.Also, and not unimportant, is that the narrator for the Audiobook (which I also got, to accompany the Kindle book) did a poor job of narrating. Her accent is very, very strong, and at times, her English is barely intelligible. Again, it seems like this book was an amateur production that somehow made it for sale on Amazon.Because at least some contents in the book were useful and applicable, I give this book two stars. I'd recommend that people interested in Turkish language study at the beginner level seek their study resources elsewhere. I was listening to many language audio books but it seems that the authors never made any effort to listen to one before. They shooting word out like a machine gun shooting bullets. It's not possible to learn from this book. It was a bad purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful intro to the language! *by P***O on Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2019* Not a pedantic approach, but one which introduces the reader to the practicals -- how to greet, hold small talk, and discuss trivial matters -- all of which are critical for someone actively trying to learn the language through conversation and practice. If one approaches the book with an open mind, and practices the conversational pieces with a (Turkish) friend of two, then they will find themselves naturally developing a powerful day-to-day vocabulary.
