Though concerned that it would be as good - we are very pleased. The actual mattress, when adjusted, seems very similar to the SN.We were told, and you can see on the websites ("Upgradeable"), that the SN & PC base bed (air chambers, side rails, etc.) are the same on the cheapest and most expensive beds. The only difference is the stuff you add on top of the air chambers. Those optional mattress covers and pads may be cheaper from someone other than SN & PC.The adjustment is different in the following ways:1- PC has two wired controllers. SN has one wireless controller that switches between sides. We don't really have a preference.2 - PC adjusts from 5-50 by 1 number steps (ie - 19,20,21,22). SN adjusts from 5 to 100 by 5 number steps (ie - 30,35,40,45). I liked 19 better than 20 on the PC, which would have been either 35 or 40 on the Sleep Number - A bigger variance. So I give the edge to PC3 - PC measures pressure continually, but doesn't adjust automatically - Temperature changes will show up on the controller pressure reading. SN sets to a setting and stays there, it also doesn't adjust automatically. PC allows you to see the reading in the morning and you can change it if you want to go back to the original evening setting - You have to be lying in the PC bed to make adjustments. The next night it may read differently, but should get to the desired reading when temperatures normalize. SC is simple. PC may have an advantage, but I'm not sure it matters as fluctuations are small.4 - SN has a one button "Full Inflate", which you can use if you use the bed for exercise or something. To fully inflate the PC you have to adjust both sides to 50. SN advantage.5 - Both have memory functions.The pumps seem similar in function and noise.Our evaluation is the beds are very similar, especially when you get down to sleeping comfort. We also found the inflatable beds to be more comfortable for us than memory foam. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great bed but you really are just buying the air bladder...buy a topper or thick pad! *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2017* We are very happy with our bed, works great, set up was easy, we purchased a 4" memory foam topper and works awesome together. I am happy we did not spend a fortune on the more famous brand. This one had slightly better reviews than all the other brands so we took a chance and are very happy! Why spend so much when you can get the topper and when the topper wears out we just buy a new topper wont need a new bladder. i dont think it would be comfortable by itself. You definitely will need some sort of extra pad. The complaints about the noise of the pump are silly. It makes noise when you adjust it but you don't adjust it often. With the topper on it all my queen sheets fit from my regular bed fine.4/27/18 one year later absolutely no complants. Our backs are so happy! I suggest checking the pressure now and again. It does seam to lose air after awhile. Not in any significant way though. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This bed plus a memory foam topper = perfection *by H***O on Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2018* Conventional mattresses are just a support base, either foam or springs, with a top layer that is softer for comfort. Mattress companies, including this one, charge ridiculous prices for the addition of soft, attached, comfort toppers on their mattresses. Mattresses wear out when either the top comfort layer or the firmer support layer wear out and sag. The best solution I have found is this basic air bed which will NEVER sag as the support base, topped with a separate memory foam topper for comfort. Using this combination, the support air bed will never sag, and if the topper does, I will just buy a new topper for a couple hundred bucks rather than a whole new bed for much more. The first night I slept on this combo, according to my Fitbit, I got much more REM and deep sleep than with my previous (but worn out and sagging) Tempurpedic memory foam bed. All the one star reviews crack me up.
