It's one of our favorite books to read together, as it appeals to both boys and girls, as well as adults. The illustrations are beautiful, as they're done by a Dreamworks master artist. My children all seem to think that Sid is a personal friend of theirs whom they want to help out, and when he finally finds the career that's right for him, their is an obvious sense of joy in their hearts for Sid. My kids love animals and all are searching for things they love and want to enjoy more in life, so they relate to Sid's dilemma, and love that he is so good at so many things, but is able to find the thing that is good for both his skills and his heart.Sid is a beautifully done book that would transfer well to the big screen! I bought this for my 7-year-old, but I think it would also make a cute gift for a high school student.
