It’s all metal so it’s good for heat dissipation. The bulb doesn’t get that hot at all. I previously bought some Ddm tuning bulbs and they failed within a months time. These are much brighter and better built. These are also a great bargain. I am using these as reverse lights and they are a major improvement over the stock halogen bulbs. I am using these in a 2014 Toyota Avalon. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent replacement for original bulb *by S***. on October 14, 2018* These bulbs so far are working perfectly. I had an issue with a defective part on my old car, and (as expected) the dealer was no help (wanted to charge an outrageous amount). I solved the problem with these bulbs. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Got canbus errors at random times *by J***S on April 11, 2019* Reason for three stars - Got light out errors and hyper blink on my 2018 Ram 1500. Then after driving for 30 minutes they started working correctly.
