Paddle hollow, is not long for a woman 5 ft 9 inches -- but telescopes down well. I can't wait to try it out on the water. Came with broken container for "repair kit" but otherwise everything else works. The paddle is expandable but I won't need to lengthen it since I'm short (5'1"). I bought it used for a discount so I expected it to be an open item. It is obvious that it was used previously.
