They're linen, but like a heavy linen. Can't see through them under normal room lighting (important for those of us that hate underwear).I'm usually a 36x30, so I ordered a Lx30. Daaang, these are tight.- The waist closes just fine, but needs to stretch the elastic. I was hoping to find some linen beach pants that were loose at the waist.- The quads are...well, look at the pic. Skin tight. My ass makes the pockets bulge too.Returning these tomorrow. Whenever I travel, I hate removing my belt at airport security. I wanted something that looked half way decent and stayed up without a belt. These have a nice elastic waistband as well as a draw string, but don't look as sloppy as sweat pants. They fit well, they streamline airport security, and they're reasonably comfortable.
