Review: Amazing Guitar For An Amazing Price - I purchased this guitar as a starting point to pick up and learn and it has exceeded what I needed it to do. This guitar punches far above its weight for the price sounding great with its pickups with a solid albeit basic tone. It is truly an all rounder capable of playing any type of music with great consistency. The strat-style body shape has been very comfortable for both sitting and standing while playing. The weight is in a spot where it feels perfect to play. As a beginner myself this guitar has carried me along yhe way and never once sounded bad doing so. Its allowed me to play country, rock, metal, indie, really anything you want to play will sound great on this guitar. I truly recommend the Pacifica to anyone wanting to learn guitar or anyone who is currently playing.

I did a lot of research before buying this model and I must say I am very satisfied. The H/S/S combination works nicely, you can get a pretty wide range of tones and sounds. The fret board looks great, has not worn out since I got it. The body is solid and is very comfortable while playing. My only complaint would be the tremolo bar. Now with this type of bridge I was not expecting much, this is no floyd rose after all. The tremolo does work, but I don't use it because of the danger that the strings will go out of tune. I would picture this guitar without a tremolo bar if I were considering whether to get it. But I think most people who do their research will know this anyway so it is not a big deal at all. The tuners are ok, nothing special. I wouldn't buy this new, as with any musical instrument unless it is a unique piece. If you can get it used in great condition then it is totally worth it. I would definitely recommend this for a beginner or even an intermediate player. Once you get a better guitar in terms of parts and electronics then I don't know if one would be willing to go back to this. But as a practice guitar this is perfect.

**Q: What's the difference between coil tap and standard? Please explain.**
A: Danny M described what a coil tap is, but the difference between "coil tap" and "standard" goes beyond that here on Amazon. The "Coil tap" model is a 112V and the "standard" model is a 112J. They are both similar guitars, but the 112V has several small upgrades: Alnico V magnet based pickups instead of ceramic magnets, the tremolo is slightly upgraded with block saddles, and the tone knob can be pulled to coil tap the humbucker into a single coil. Also, the pickguard on the 112v is smaller, exposing more wood, but this is really more a style thing..

**Q: I am a beginner trying to look for my first guitar. What is the difference between Coil tap style and Standard style in this product?**
A: With coil tapping it gives you more total sound options.You simply have to pull up on one of the knobs.Its a nice feature.

**Q: Is the tone nob supposed to feel much looser than the volume nob? I just got my Pacifica and this is the case.**
A: Do you have the 112v or the 120h? I bought the 120h and my tone nob is the same as yours. It feels much looser than the volume knob. Doesn't feel right.

**Q: Does the violn sunburst look the same on the back?**
A: Yes, it looks the same. Also, there are 2 white caps on the back for electronics just like every guitar.
