It has a box shape in the groin area which makes it hard to wear under pants. I wear these in Chicago winter to ride my bike to the train and they are fine in 20 degrees but anything beneath that I need to wear my under armor as they are the best. They are also trip,e the price but if you truly want to be warmer go with under armour. If you need a simple under layer than these are okay and they do have an opening to make easier to go to the bathroom.
