Long arms help correct the geometry of the suspension when your lifting your jeep. I am running 35s with a rubicon express 3.5" lift (more like 4.5" when done), they do not even come close to rubbing. These arms and adjustable uppers help get your front axel angle back to normal to help with the "flighty" steering after a lift is installed. I went with new control arms to avoid using the cam bolts that come with a standard lift kit. To avoid hitting the body mental you need backspacing on your wheels. I am running 17x9 with 4.25 backspacing, that keeps the wheels away from the body at full lock.
