You can add things like honey and lemon to it if you like and it doesn't take away from the taste. My preference is straight out of the tin. I also purchased the Green matcha and the Rooibos matcha. I drink Green Matcha almost on a daily basis however this black tea matcha is quickly becoming my favorite.
