The lack of a cushion for the top of your head should’ve been a no brainer. But over time, the 3.5mm jack became loose and caused feedback; and it got to the point where it was effecting how I was being heard. I suspect that was the mic itself. Shortly after the replacement headset came in, the mic portion had a hard time holding position. It just wanted to droop down under my neck. And apparently I sounded off too, no one said anything. So I decided to try this replacement mic; it definitely holds shape 10x better than it should’ve. Not only that, but it seems to be a little more sensitive than the original and I apparently sound much better. Which I didn’t know I sounded not so good until then. For the price, it’s well worth it. I’m impressed with the durability and functionality so far. Usually I’m really skeptical of the cheap stuff vs reasonable prices for oem stuff. You get what you pay for, and cheaper is almost never better.

A: If your phone has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, then yes!

**Q: Does this work with the turtle beach Seven?**
A: You might need a 2.5mm mic. I use a 2.5 for my Turtle Beach 4s, best way to check is by taking a pair of regular 3.5mm headphones (or if your headset plugs into the controller use that cord) and try plugging it into the port that the turtle beach mic goes in. If it fits, buy this. If not, I’d look for a 2.5 model mic.

I had just replaced my headset with the same one I bought in 2018; and i was really impressed with the audio quality of them. Bought as a replacement for my son's Recon 50 for Xbox One. Does not work. Tried it with another "Compatible" headset listed in this items description. Does not work. So, either the headset, which was in original packing, is defective, or it is not compatible with the models listed in its description. Advice: Just buy oem from the manufacture for replacement parts. Sure its a bit more, but at least you get something that works.
