The lights are very muted and not bright. **Q: How can i install it on the wall?** A: I bought round hook screws and twisted the screw into the wall and placed it on top of it. It’s seem to work really well. **Q: does it come with a stand, otherwards what does the bottom look like?** A: The 8' lighted willow vine does not have a stand, and there is no top and bottom, as such. It is an 8' lighted willow vine with a 12' cord and a transformer that plugs into an outlet. It is brown in color, and was meant to be used as a decorative vine that goes over a portico or around a window or in any place where it would add a decorative touch. **Q: can you stand this on the floor, does it have a flood base?** A: No, it is simply an 8' vine that can be bent and shaped. It does not come with any base. I have seen it used a number of ways. Some folks just use it around a headboard or window frame. Some trickle it out of the top of a potted plant and then onto the wall (separate mounting hardware is needed, screws, tacks, etc.) Hope this helps. However, the willow vines are looped and wired carefully together. Once the wire twits are removed, the LED lights unwind effortlessly. They are very easy to manipulate and shape into the vine you imagine. I used double headed picture hanging nails to attach the wires and move the vine across the walls. (If you cannot use nails, try double-sided tape but be sure to mind the amount of weight you place on each segment of tape and check the tape manufacturer guidelines). The LED lights themselves have a very soft glow but provide plenty of illumination even when installing in a dark room. I strongly recommend the Light Garden Willow Vine. It is lovely. It could make a subtle presence in any room, or be an elegant centerpiece.
