Used as tip of umbrella….cane ### ⭐⭐⭐ Fits Earthtrekgear Folding Poles, But... *by A***T on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 9, 2013* While my first hike up Mount Baldy's rocky terrain, the metal tip of the pole went right through the rubber tips. So I decided to buy a couple pairs of these replacement tips since I was planning to do several more strenuous hike before tackling Mount Whitney.These tips fit my Folding Collapsible Travel Hiking Trekking Pole, which are also manufactured by Earthtrekgear. They slip onto the ends easily and fit the ends snugly. I have to use quite a bit of force to pull the tips off again if I wanted to. At least I thought they were pretty snug, but when I went on my next hike, I lost one tip during my hike about (15 miles) and the terrain was not very rocky just steep. Since I had a spare, I replaced the missing tip and went on another hike. This time up Mount Gorgonio via Vivian Creek. Halfway down the mountain, I had managed to lose two more tips. I didn't even use my poles for the hike up, which means the tips fell off after about 6 miles. Even though the tips are snug around the ends of the pole. I think they might still be a bit "big" when you start putting pressure on it or use it on rocky or uneven terrain.Next time I use these tips, I will probably wrap duct tape around the tips just to make sure I don't lose another pair of tips while doing another strenuous hike or look for replacement tips that have a smaller diameter.According to the package, the diameter of the replacement tips are 0.5 inches (12.7mm). I may search for something with a 12mm diameter and see if that stays better.Overall, as replacement tips for Earthtregear hiking poles, they fit and work as they should, that is, as long as they stay on the poles. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The product was the one I ordered and it arrived as scheduled *by J***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 13, 2020* A friend requested help to find new tips for his hiking poles.
