The thicker the encasement the harder for the unit to sense the phone is on the charger pad. Also this pod can get hot to the touch especially when charging two phones at the same time. It is also positional sensitive. Be sure the phone charge light is on or adjust the phone position slightly for the ideal charging connection or it may not connect and charge.
