The double canopy design is also a great addition since it allows wind to flow through. I wouldn't market it as "windproof" though. I chose the London model and upon arrival I was very much impressed. Not only beautiful and even interesting, this puppy is well built and I suspect will last a very long time. If you want compliments, just open this up and take a walk; you won't be disappointed. This umbrella is a real ego booster...compliments just keep rolling in while you're using it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy but Heavy *by R***8 on April 5, 2019* This umbrella is very sturdy and thus it appears that it will hold up in the wind (although I haven't used it on a windy day yet). The problem is that it is heavier than my previous portable umbrellas and thus will weigh more in my pocketbook than I would like. Also, it is bulkier than previous umbrellas when rolled up. For some, it will be worth the trade off.
