After nearly wrecking the fork I realized I wasn't going to get the fork back together without some sort of tool. I was working on forks for my 2006 CBR1000 and the service manual makes no mention of needing a spring compressor. After watching some You Tube videos I saw some guys using a tool like this one. I wasn't sure if this was going to work with my Honda and if there was going to be any other tools needed. I didn't replace the seals, just did an oil change. Once I had the tool it turned out that it was indeed the only tool I needed (besides basic hand tools) to get my fork back together. It also made doing the second fork tube a snap. Trying to do this without this tool was just dumb on my part. It was well worth the money! As a side note, I ordered this from Motorsport Superstore through desertcart. The shipping was free and lightning fast!
