## Description

Product description Beautiful Metallic Colors Built In Natural Shine Works On Most Surfaces Works With Most Sealers

Review: Tooli Art is Amazing! Worth It! - I’ve bought a lot of Tooli Art sets over the years, but this neon medium-tip pack is the one I keep reaching for the most. The colors are ridiculously bright — truly neon, not just “kind of vibrant.” On canvas they pop instantly, even without a base coat, and the pigmentation is consistent across every color in the set. The flow on these is really smooth. But with all paint pens I feel even the most professional pens get clogged. You do have to shake them really hard to get them started. Once you’ve actually used them once and you go to use them again, you need to give it a good shake because sometimes the little ball inside gets stuck. Sometimes I have to smack it on a table or something to get it lose. The medium tip gives me the perfect line weight for bold outlines, chunky lettering, and filling in small areas without streaking. Medium tip is my go to but the fine tip is good for fine lines and details. If you’re someone who likes to color larger spaces, this tip size really shines. One thing I appreciate with Tooli Art in general is that their color range is bigger than Posca’s. I still love Posca, but Tooli gives me so much more variety in color selection and they have specialty tones that give you so much more color range than Posca. This neon set feels like a little box of sunshine — electric pinks, bright greens, glowing oranges — all of them look incredible under natural light. Durability has been great so far: no leaking, no drying out, but the nibs sometimes get frayed or clogged which is annoying. The nice thing is they give you a whole bunch of extra nibs so if one gets clogged you have replacements. One way to get it unclogged is you can remove the nib and soak it in warm water to get it going again, and if that doesn’t work just replace it. I would say with medium tip the fraying is way less noticeable and really isn’t too much to interfere with using it. They’re actually pretty hard and tight nibs, but with all paint pens realistically they have some fraying. It doesn’t bother me that much tho and the color still comes out nice. For the price, I honestly think these pens are an amazing value. They perform like a premium set without the premium price tag. But if you’re like me you want them all so yeah that can get pricey haha If you like bold color and use paint pens often, this set is absolutely worth having. I recommend Tooli Art all the time, I post my art and tag them on IG all the time. The neon set has officially become my favorite in my whole collection, but I am still collecting more!! Oh yes and one more thing, they suggest storing it horizontally and I think it does make a difference. I was keeping them upright and I think they would get all stuck more often.
Review: So far, they’re amazing 🤩 - I’ve had these for just over 24 hours, and so far I love them! I admit I am curious to see how they hold up over time, and will definitely update this review accordingly. I’ve been using Posca and Artistro paint pens, which are both incredible, but really want to find something that isn’t quite as expensive. The color range for those is also not quite comparable to all that Tooli-Art appears to offer. Since I use pastels most frequently, I went with the tooli-art pastel pack. I can confirm every pen is a different color (I’ve experienced so many sets in which several ‘colors’ apply almost indifferently). The tip is plastic and very pointy (.7 size) , but I had no problem using it on paper. It did catch slightly when using on watercolor paper, but I expected that. When using on acrylic (since many people buy these for rock or glass painting) the one thing I’d note is that unless the ink is really flowing, it does have a tendency to pick the ink back up when applying multiple layers/coats. Opacity: Really nice! I did a second coat on most of the color swatches seen in the pictures here, but the color is still vivid and defined when only applying one coat. I would probably recommend a buyer to expect to need a second coat with most of the colors just to ensure full coverage, especially if applying it to a larger area. Usage on Paper: These definitely worked on multiple types of paper for me! I was worried since most of the reviews were based on use on hard surfaces (I.e rock) but these really worked on paper! I tried it on watercolor paper, notebook paper (black and white), computer paper, card stock, and Kraft paper. Again, only slight scratching when using the papers with heavier texture (watercolor and Kraft). I only attempted to blend the pens/inks once, but from that test it seemed to blend fine. I do worry a tiny bit about how they will hold up. After swatching yesterday, a couple pens had the tips clog today when using again. Thankfully they came with a great little brochure of sorts explaining how to fix it (cleaning tip with water) then I just pushed down the tip again. Additionally, I’m not sure how long the pens will last since they are much smaller/thinner than many paint pens so I imagine that translates to less product filled. We shall see. I have high hopes and intend to order more colors/sets soon! ☺️ Congratulations if you read this entire review 😂😂😂

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Black is REALLY Black!! Recommended by an artist.
*by A***E on May 4, 2023*

Guys these pens are amazing! I'm an artist who hates to paint. I know that's a contradiction, but it's true. I love to draw though! I was struggling to get some paintings finished (I got bored with them) when I thought I'd try paint pens - a combination of painting and drawing, right? With crossed fingers I bought these after doing some research. I already had a couple of random paint pens from 'the other guys' I'd used to sketch with and lay down outlines, but they weren't amazing and they were hard to use. However when I tried the Tooli pens I was really impressed! First of all the tips (I got all Xtra Fine) are very nice, firm, pointy, can get good detail. Very responsive. Love that they send extras! The ink flows smoothly and isn't blotchy or blobby at all (at least not yet, we will see after I use them for a while.) But what really blew me away was the colors. The black is REALLY BLACK! The 'other guys' black is about the same level as the Tooli dark gray! I mean this is super India Ink color black, really beautiful. Other colors are vivid and stay wet just long enough that you can bring in another color and blend quite well. Note that if you puddle two different colors together they will instantly combine, kind of like water colors. Be prepared for that quick bleed. I recommend these to artists who want to doodle on canvas; works great!! Specifically for this color set, the earth tones are super nice. I do a lot of wildlife paintings and I needed the more 'natural' colors which are used for fur, feathers, shadows, that kind of thing. These colors are wonderfully 'muddy' and 'muted' and much more natural than the color-crayon 'regular' set. Very nice.
