I don't want something that attaches to my pool or the pool equipment.** A: Pass on this...it might work for kiddie size pools with filter systems only. Above ground pools only. The device attaches to the pool wall (replaces water returning to pool port and just screws in place) and another hose is attached to the device. Some of the filtered returning water is diverted into the hose and the length of hose is warmed by the sun then warm water pours back into your pool from the open end of that hose placed over the pool wall. So the device is not really attached to your pool equipment, only at the last stage of your pool filter system where the water is returning to pool. We have 15x30 pool and normally have a directional frog's eye in the port to help the water's circulation and this device caused disorganized circulation. The device is not able to handle the force of water from your pool pump and darker blue "cap" cracked (cap has dial vents). This device is viable in design, but cheaply made. Best advice: before I returned it, I took the Beluga device to Home Depot and with a bit of assistance, I built my own, better version that is still working after 3 years. I am using 500 ft. of black flexible hose of drip irrigation in a large coil on the ground and the open of hose is placed over pool wall. The water that pours into our pool is quite warm (almost hot at times) and is placed near the return water outlet so the warm water is circulated well. A system like this is also possible by buying a pond pump (around $100.00) and with a few attachments to reduce the hose size, you can plug in a pump that will push a large volume of water through black irrigation hose that will warm 12,000 gallons very nicely. **Q: Are there any adapters to make this work with a 1 1/4" inlet opening for an Intex above ground pool?** A: It doesn't come with any adapters, the only threads are 1 1/2" and a hose size **Q: I have a hayward male eyeball return is there anything I can use to adapt so it will work?** A: I have never been able to get my beluga pool solution heating device to work. **Q: I have a summer waves 14 ft above ground pool with a side skimmer/all in one pump attached to the side of the pool.
