Airflow ducting is the same, same 80mm fan. However, you’ll notice ports and jacks are located at the exhaust end instead of accessible from the side. Designed to be stackable, you no longer have to keep three sides clear – two for airflow and one for cabling. The R909 has been upgraded with a better main regulator and improved thermal management. Heatsink area over the chips is increased by 40% over the R606. I see speeds around 230gh's however i wanted to get up to a couple of th's and usb miners is not ideal to do that. So I ordered the R606 to add to my mining tool belt.I got the product with in 2 day of ordering, I plug it in and added the switches for cgminer that are stated in the directions and BLAM. Everything worked great, very easy to get it up and running. I am getting between 1th and 800 ghs.What a great product, I will be getting 2 or 3 more ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice, but relatively weak *by T***N on July 29, 2019* This is a great device but it helps to understand what its really capable of and what it does. After a few days of testing I found that I can almost never hit 1TH/s, which is a sort of theoretical maximum. Note you won't see that number in cgminer, you'l see it in your pool as the real number is calculated with ASIC boost which gives it that extra 20% or so.At any voltage and speed level, the device hashes at anywhere 650-850gh/s. So if you think you'll have 1.1th/s locked, its just not in the cards. So its pretty modest compared to an Antminer. If you wanted to hit even 1/4 of what an S9 does, you'd need 4 of these, so that's a lot of money to spend when a proper Antminer isn't much more. This would be a perfect device if it had 3-4x the ASIC chips in it. But at this price point, its really just a tinkering toy.Annoyingly, the model with the power supply is seventy dollars more and any off the shelf barrel connector at 12v 8A is going to run very hot at its near 100watt pull. I wish they would have packaged a fan powered power supply for cheap. The one they sell is 1200 watts and has 10 connectors. For the small hobbyist that is way overkill.This company does not have a real website and looks like a one or two man operaiton. All the instructions and support are through the bitcointalk forum website and you must find the support thread and learn how to make it work from there. This isn't terribly newbie friendly. You'll need to compile code if you use linux. Windows is a bit friendlier, you just run the apps. Note you need a certain version of cgminer and it is a command line app.Getting it to work is a bit different than say an Antminer. It has no controller or ethernet connection. You need a PC running 24/7 to run cgminer. The r606 connects with a usb cable. Thankfully you can do this with a raspberry pi. Again, the instructions are on bitcointalk and you'll need to have some linux admin experience under your belt, especially in regards to how to use screen so you can safely disconnect without killing cgminer, which aren't covered in the official support thread. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome price, awesome delivery speed β€œthey are local to me”.
