He is A.D.D. and is struggling a little bit. This book has already helped him imrpove and he is even having fun learning. I call it homework, but he calls it fun work. Now what kid calls homework fun work unless it is fun!? We have only had this book for 5 days!!! He does about 6-14 pages a night. And I have him write the answers in a separate notebook so we can re use the workbook to see how much he has learned from the start of it. I highly recommend this workbook and have another one for math that we havent tried yet. But it is something to get for your child whether they are struggling or if you just want to spend time together with them having fun learning. LOVE THIS! I bought this book to help the first graders read and understand written words, sounds and picture images. The exercises are fun for the child to learn from, and being fun, makes the child want to do more word and sentence exercises. I actually inserted each page in a page protector, and the child writes with a whiteboard erasable marker, so a clean page is ready for the next child, and the book can be used by many children.
