I needed something that wouldn't take so much room on my small computer desk. I need speakers to hear my computer talk so that I know what is on the computer screen and what I'm typing, since I am totally blind. It works great for that purpose. As for music, it is barely adequate, but I didn't buy this sound bar for that. Time will tell as to how long this device will last.I would recommend this little speaker for anyone who wants to hear basic sound on a computer. It's a lot smaller than the boombox I had on my desk before. My primary use will be for use with a laptop and giving presentations to groups of 10 to 40+ people. The sound can be adjusted from the front of the sound bar and/or from the laptop which made it even louder. It is perfect for my intended use and, in my opinion, sounded great with music too.
