Review: Body Vision PT600 Power Tower - Outstanding unit and value. Arrived in less than 3 days from time of order. Assembled in ~ 50 minutes, all the parts arrived in excellent condition and the unit went together very well. While $47 to ship was a bit much when added to the price of $99 this unit is a steal for under $150 delivered. Great Features - Push up handles double very well as a tricep dip station. I am 6'1" ~ 185 lbs and the station is very solid. It only seems to shake when I do; I certianly have not felt like I was in any danger of tipping over, etc. The pull up bar is great because you can start with traditional pull ups and work your way to the more difficult lat pull ups. Kind of sets up a built in goal for the user. Same with the crunch station, start out with flexed knees to your chest and work your way up to extended legs. Even my 18 year son (football player) has found the unit fun and challenging. Stability has not been an issue for either of us whatsoever. Why this unit? I wanted to find a unit that had all the work out stations on one side as I wanted to stick it in an alcove in our basement. For the price this was the hand downs winner. I also wanted a unit that had a push up station that would double as a tricep dip station. My son has also used his stretch bands by looping them over the full length pull up bar and doing pull downs for his chest. I just sold a Weider 245 (cable weight machine)to create room for this unit. Those units look great but the need to change connections, tools, move the pin, add the chain, remove the chaine, etc. for every different exercise just gets tiresome. The Power Tower concept is great because it is just you and machine. You can crank out your workouts just as quickly as you can handle banging through your sets. I am doing 6 stations (pushups, tricep dips, ab / leg lifts, dips, pull ups and lat pull ups) at 3 sets per and able to crank through the workout in under 30 minutes. Great buy, great machine, great price, great service and in hindsight a great decision.
Review: Body Vision PT600 Tower - Pretty darn good! - Ok, I'll just jump right in. I have an over the door type pull-up bar I bought at a local sporting goods store. It worked pretty good, but it wasn't very wide, and it was starting to ding up the door frame, but I used it every day after work. So it was time to upgrade. I didn't do extensive research for an alternative. I started at Sportsauthority.com, and some towers were promising. I looked on Walmart.com too, and there was one that looked good, but I waited too long and it sold out. Then I looked on desertcart. I should have started here. The PT600 had great reviews and the price was perfect with free shipping. So I ordered it. BTW, I'm 6'-2" and 175 lbs, and this thing is fine for me. Shipping: It arrived very fast, within a few business days. Yes, the box was a bit beat up with some holes the size of golf balls, and a few rips. But once I opened it, all the pieces were in great condition. All the nuts and bolts were in there own packaging, and no scratches on the equipment. Assembly: The instruction book was adequate. It didn't need to be too detailed, actually. It was mostly straight forward. You will need a basic ratchet and wrench set to put this together. Trust me it helps immensely. I laid everything out and started at the beginning. One thing I would mention, which is covered in the manual....don't tighten the nuts as you go. wait towards the end. When I came across the upper assembly for the pull-up bar, I tightened before I screwed the pull up bar on, and there was no give to put it on, so I had to loosen and re-tighten. Lesson learned indeed. Also, this thing is a bit smelly, the padding, the grips, the metal. So I sprayed it down lightly with water and an antibacterial solution. It stands about 7' tall fully assembled, and there's no clearance issue at all. Performance: I set this up on carpet, and it's very stable. There is a bit of wobble with the dips, but that's from me not having the strength to do them yet. Yes, definitely get new grips. I was luck my old over-the-door pull up bar had good grips, so I used those, but I will try bicycle tape. I might try gloves, because my hands were pretty sore after the dips. Ah yes the dips, don't be discouraged when I say the top of my head does hit the pull up bar when I do dips, but that's when my arms are fully extended, and it's really no big deal to bend my head a bit. really. I like the foot grips/push-up combo, very nice. I'm new to knee raises, so I can't really say if this is good for those or not, but they're easy enough to do. I use this everyday after work, and I couldn't be more pleased.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well worth the price
*by R***D on February 13, 2014*

I bought this VKR equipment months ago and it sat in my garage boxed up until about a couple of weeks ago. It was the strangest thing (or maybe not); late summer last year I was working out and I wanted some new equipment to vary my workouts so I bought the PT600. Because I'm an Amazon Prime Member the shipping was free so that was an added bonus (Prime Membership paid for itself right there). Well, once I got the equipment I didn't feel like putting it together. I think I lost some steam in my enthusiasm or maybe because the garage was a mess and I had no good place to put it, but whatever the reason it just sat in the box. Finally, a couple of weeks ago I grabbed my daughter and had her help me put it together. Now, my daughter is ten, and with a little bit of instructions from me she was able to tell me how to put it together; that's how easy it is. Once I got it erected I noticed that it took up even less space than I anticipated. I started using it right away and found it very sturdy. Pluses: Light weight, easy to move, easy to put together and easy to use. A full pull up bar instead of two handles spaced apart, this way you can do narrow grip or wide grip pull ups instead of just wide grip pull ups. I can do overhand pull ups, underhand pull ups, narrow grip, wide grip, push ups, dips, vertical knee raises and toes-to-bar (a tough one)... in other words I can get a near total upper body workout with it. Minuses: I'm 6'3" so the pull up bar is lower than I'd like but I can still do pull ups by keeping my knees bent. With the dips I have to keep my head tilted to avoid hitting the pull up bar. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and hope to get a lot of use out of it.
