But for mountain typical coolers, this is not needed. They claim there is a 1-2c difference. They are just full of poop (can't curse on reviews). Anyway, the bear brand dries out, and then doesn't get the same temp results. ALSO NOTE, you HAVE to do the break in period. AS5 used to be sold in plastic packages like everything else back then. I have used it on the CPU generations before Core 2 duo, and then on core 2 quad and my latest was Core I5, model 750. I played the Diablo 3 on it and Heroes of Might and Magic 5 and 6 which are CPU intensive , turn based games. As you may know, the newer generation CPU are far more efficient and generate considerably less heat. I have been using a Zalman cpu fan and never did water cooling but my son plays much more video intensive games and has water cooler on his CPU. I know there is newer thermal pastes out there but this one will do fine for above average needs as well.
