There are videos on YouTube that show how to do this but it's actually harder than it looks. You'll need a large screwdriver with a very small Phillips bit because these screws will be in tight and will require a lot of torque before they start turning. You'll also need a tweezers or a small screwdriver to disconnect one cable. If you don't want to do this, you can just press the joystick into the white shaft and it will lightly click into place. Of course it will eventually fall off so you'll want to put a very small amount of glue on it before you put it on the camera.
