I have an M1 carbine that was made just at the end of World War II and was used in Korea. This scope mount fits that weapon perfectly. What exactly are you asking? **Q: can you still use factory sights if you take scope off?** A: You can see the very tip of the sight, but I'm not sure how effective it would be. There is a "gully" that runs the entire length of the mount which, I presume, is for you to use the factory sights, but it's a bit marginal. **Q: Would this work om a m1 carbine, 22 caliber, made by chiappa** A: I don't know for sure about the .22 cal I would think if the barrel and stock are the exact same dimensions as the military m1 .30cal carbine it should fit. **Q: Does this mount hold zero after a few hundred rounds ?** A: It will, but after buying it I received it and it has casting marks and scratches all over it there are better mounts for optics out there in hindsight I’d prefer something that mounts on Receiver. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ well made, worth the money *by M***E on March 10, 2023* Sturdy and easy to install, brings new life to an old classic.
